About Tintwistle Athletic FC

Tintwistle Athletic FC is a relatively new club affiliated to the Derbyshire FA.

We are based in Tintwistle, in the High Peak in Derbyshire. Along with Tintwistle Cricket Club

(www.tintwistlecc.org) we are proud to provide sporting opportunities for both juniors and open age within this Ground

rural community.

We are based at West Drive Playing Fields in Tintwistle SK13 1NB.

Our U7's play at Curzon Ashton, our mini soccer teams play at Tintwistle Primary School, off South Close, Tintwistle and one of our open age teams play on the 3G pitch at Glossopdale College in Hadfield.

We started 7 years ago with an U14's team, who played

open age football for the first time in season 2008/09 with

Lancashire and Cheshire League, having won the U18's

division in season 2007/08.

Over the past 7 years we have expanded to having a U17'/18's, U13's, U12's, U11's and this season U7's and an open age reserve team for the coming season.

We have now acheived FA Development Charter Standard status to April 2015. This is a great achievement by everyone at the club. All our coaches are qualified to FA Level 1, with two of our coaches having completed their FA level 2 and are all CRB checked. We have a Child Welfare Officer who is approachable by players and parents and the email address is on the contact page.

Season 2007/08 the U18's went to Belgium and Holland, while the U14's went to Blackpool for a long weekend tournament.
