U15's make a winning start to 2009! (January 13, 2009)
The U15's started the year with a tricky home fixture against Medlock Rangers,played in even tricker conditions.The game was a close call to be played but both managers and the ref agreed the pitch was playable.Tinsle were energetic from the start,out playing Medlock and hammering several close shots before going one up mid-way through the first half.After the break Medlock had a better start and equalised quickly.The boys kept their heads up and were rewarded with a further three goals and the Medlock team seemed to lose concentration and couldn't compete with our lads, in particular striker Jonny Higgins who bagged all four goals adding to his impressive goal tally for the season so far. Warren and Lee were very happy with the performance and awarded the whole team "Man of the Match"!The win was a great result for the lads,as Medlock are a fiesty team and usually compete for the league title.Click here to return to the News page
