I'm sure you will have been alerted through the recent media coverage to the reports of historical abuse in youth football.

The Chairman of the FA has put in place a thorough investigation process and has also implemented an NSPCC helpline for anybody who may have any worries or questions. All details can be found here:-                       

As Chairman of Tintwistle Athletic Football Club I want to assure you that we take the safeguarding of your child extremely important. We have in place a Welfare officer Jill Crossland who continually monitors our procedures. Jill's contact details are [email protected] or 07950 359879.

ALL our coaches & other volunteers who have any interaction with your child have completed Safeguarding Checks and have been on the relevent Safeguarding training. Our code of conducts and safeguarding policy can be found on our website. These documents are continually reviewed and you should refer to it if you have any queries in respect of Club policies, and your child's welfare. Our club promotes respect, inclusiveness and is committed to the safe welfare of all players and volunteers.
